It wasn't much of an arguement, since the President didn't really care anymore -_- haha but yeah! I want to make this party exciting, so my idea for the crab game will take place! Every person who comes to the party will receive 3 raffle tickets. It's your choice to either keep or take the risk of losing it. At the end of the party, there will be a drawing for a prize :O

So yeah! Party is in Mr. Truong's room #111 right after school until 3:30. No admission fee :) We want you guys to relax, since I'm sure finals week was tough. Hope you guys come & enjoy yourselves! <3

Tet Party

So, since we can't celebrate Tet on the actual days because of Food Faire, a suggestion was made to celebrate it after finals instead. AWESOME IDEA. That being said, here are the list of things being brought:

FOOD
Dustin - Eggrolls
DRINKS
Brandon - soda
Vivian - frappuccinos
Tram - boba
SWEETS
Sarah - Apple Pie
Kathleen - Suong Ja (jello)
Charina - Vietnamese Candy
FRUITS
Erik Martinez - strawberries
Vivian- oranges
NEEDED ITEMS (for now)
Gallon of Milk
Bag of Ice
Can of Whip Cream
Bananas
Kiwis
Thai Tea

I'll literally be in the lab, making concoctions :) So besides food, we need entertainment! :D Mr. Truong has an old TV, so we can only plug in one console. Or, if you guys want, we can switch it back and forth.

GAMES
Vivian - PS2 (DDR, Guitar Hero)
Gamecube (Mario Party, Naruto, Need For Speed, Super Smash Bros)
              Monopoly
Cards (WHO KNOWS HOW TO PLAY TIENLEN? :D)
Bau Cua Ca Cop (Crab Game)

I have an idea for the Crab Game! So, you know how it's a gambling game right? There really would be no point if we don't wager anything, but since gambling can't take place at school, money is out of the question. THEREFORE, I think about 3 raffle tickets should be given to each person that comes to the party. They would have the opportunity to play the Crab Game, learn a bit about Vietnamese culture, and have a chance to take other people's raffle tickets. At the end of the party, we will hold a drawing for a prize! :D YEAH? Comments please :)

Oh, the games I listed out are not limited to others. Those were just suggestions, because I have those. I don't really want to bring all of them, unless you really want me to... but you know, it would be nice if you guys helped me >_< There's a limit to how much I can carry HAHA.

I'm excited you guys! :)

Also, there's a meeting tomorrow during lunch. We still need to finalize plans :D I hope I see some unfamiliar faces, since some couldn't come to our afterschool meetings. See you guys there! :D

1/12/11

So this is where we are, a month later...

Sorry you guys for this late update! >_< I'll make it quick & easy to understand :D

Food Faire was a success! We have a total of $375.25.
There's another Food Faire on February 4, so think about food contributions until we discuss it at the next meeting!

Speaking of meetings, we had one today.
Since Food Faire interfered with our Tet plans to go to Garden Grove, we're having a party after finals on January 27 in early celebration for it.
More details coming soon!

The shirts cost about $45 TOTAL.
We're using the club money to buy you guys these, so you get free shirts!
There's an option to write your name, front or back, for an additional $3.
Hopefully, we'll get these before we take our official picture for the yearbook. I have no idea when that is, but I was told around mid-February.

I'll update once I know more :)
